Innovation and Ethics in Business: Insights from a Company Founder and Leader

Through the FiresThe Center for Innovation and Ethics kicked off its new series, Personal Journeys, on April 20, 2015, with Robert Carr, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Heartland Payment Systems, Inc., an NYSE company.  Mr. Carr is author of the widely acclaimed book, “Through the Fires: An American Business Story of Turbulence, Triumph and Giving Back.”  Mr. Carr shared his extraordinary journey in founding and building Heartland, and discussed the importance of ethics in building a great company.

Mr. Carr serves on the Board of Trustees of Historical Society of Princeton, Princeton, Historic Morven; the Board of Advisors of Seton Hall Business School, Woodrow Wilson House; and is a Founder of Give Something Back Foundation, a nonprofit which funds academic scholarships for disadvantaged children, recognizes teaching excellence and donates to various charitable organizations.
